Because, as an employee, you are responsible for transferring a portion of your salary to the State in taxes. In addition, you have to pay various amounts into the social insurance system.

Payments to the social insurance system include compulsory pension insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and old-age insurance. The amount of your salary after payroll tax is deducted is your net salary.

In short, the gross salary minus taxes and social security contributions leaves you with the net salary. This is the amount that is actually paid into your account.

In addition, your business must also pay an amount identical to yours into your social insurance fund.

These contributions to the social insurance fund are beneficial to you because they are paid into insurance funds and various funds for you. That means: every time you are sick, you do not have to pay for your own doctor's fees and treatment costs. In addition, later in life, you will receive a certain amount of pension.
