Mr. Thomas Malcherek - CEO of HWK Erfurt interacted with students

Experts from HWK Erfurt shared many real-life stories related to the apprenticeship process, the working environment and the requirements of businesses. Instead of just providing theoretical information, the exchange opened up a realistic perspective on professional life in Germany, helping students clearly visualize the path they are about to embark on.

This is an especially important point for those who are studying or preparing to study in Germany in the handicraft industry, because this field requires high practical ability, discipline and initiative in learning.

Answering questions about career orientation and preparing documents

One of the greatest values of the seminar was the in-depth answers from the HWK Erfurt representatives themselves. The experts clarified the issues of concern to the students:

  • How to choose a career that suits your personal abilities
  • The difference between vocational training at school and practice at a business
  • Support policies for international students living and studying in Germany
  • Criteria that make your application stand out in the eyes of German businesses

In particular, some students also have their abilities assessed at the exchange session. This helps them know exactly what stage they are at, what they need to improve and how to increase their chances of being recruited by businesses in the near future.
