If the morning of SHD Career Day 2025 was already “hot” enough with inspirational talkshows, the afternoon opened up a completely different playground. SHD students were able to directly “touch” 15 practical experience stations – where theory turns into action, where each young person has the opportunity to try themselves in the role of the careers that await in Germany.

Not just a fun activity, the experience stations are designed as a small journey for students to understand the characteristics of each industry, identify their strengths and discover their career passion. This is the first step for each student to choose the right path, firmly for the future.

Healthcare sector: when patience and responsibility are tested

In the Medical field, students have the opportunity to transform into nurses and dental assistants. Seemingly unfamiliar skills such as measuring blood pressure, caring for patients or basic dental procedures become familiar and vivid through the challenges:

• Super clean hands – practice hand washing according to WHO standards.

• Flash medical check-up – learn to observe and react quickly.

• Dental Assistant and Cavity Removal – Getting Familiar with Basic Treatment Procedures.

• F4 Driver – experience wheelchair skills and gain insight into patient care.

The most important thing that students receive is not only skills, but also the feeling of being in the position of a professional. From there, they clearly feel patience, responsibility and love - the core values of the medical industry.

Engineering & Construction Industry: Creativity and Logic Go Together

Moving to the Engineering & Construction group, the atmosphere is equally exciting. Young people become “trainee engineers”, facing challenges that require both ingenuity and logical thinking.

• Sturdy Tower and Engineer Challenge – test your ability to calculate and match accurately.

• Creative notebook – develops logic, observation and information processing skills.

• Creative logistics – flexible situation handling, promoting teamwork spirit.

• Fun Circuits – learn basic electrical principles through interactive games.

Through these activities, students understand that engineering is not just about numbers, but also about creativity and practical application. These are the qualities needed to succeed in the construction and technology fields in Germany.

Service Industry: Practicing soft skills to break through

In the Service industry, each challenge is like a real “order” where students must demonstrate their dexterity, agility and communication skills.

• Memory and Closing – test your ability to remember, persuade and handle customer situations.

• Golden Hands and Transformation – practice folding towels, decorating, practicing meticulousness and delicacy.

• King of spices – creative in combination, challenging flexibility.

What the students realized after the experience was: the service industry is not only about manual work, but also the art of communication, understanding customers and working under pressure. These are soft skills that any young person needs if they want to integrate and develop in an international market like Germany.

Each experience station – a brick to build the future

The special thing about the afternoon of SHD Career Day 2025 is not the reward, but the real experience that students receive. Each station is like a slice of the career, allowing you to try, make mistakes, and then draw your own lessons. Thanks to that, students:

• Better understand the characteristics of each industry, from healthcare, engineering - construction to services.

• Identify your own abilities and interests, know what your strengths are and develop them.

• Experience a miniature working environment, thereby preparing mentally for your journey to study vocational training in Germany.

Not only do you have fun, you also come out with a more mature mindset, understanding that your future career is not just an impulsive choice but requires careful consideration.

The best thing about SHD Career Day 2025 is how small challenges are turned into big foundations. Today, students only practiced measuring blood pressure, folding towels, and assembling simple electrical circuits. But these seemingly small things are the first bricks that lay the foundation for their journey to study and work in Germany.
