Conditions for studying in Germany after graduating from university

To be able to study abroad in Germany after graduating from university, students need to meet the following conditions: 

Training program Condition
Master – Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from a University with an average score of 2.8/4 or 7.0/10. Also have a graduation thesis when graduating with a Bachelor's degree from a University.

– Achieve an English certificate of TOEFL 550 or IELTS 6.5 or higher for English language programs. Or a German certificate of DSH-2, TestDaf F4 or B1 or higher for German language programs. However, some schools have lower requirements for DSH 1 and TestDaf F3.

 - Have at least 1 year of working experience in the field studied.

– Have GMAT certificate for business administration and GRE certificate for social economics.

– Complete APS certification assessment.

PhD In addition to the same conditions as a master's degree, studying for a doctorate in Germany also requires meeting the following requirements:

- Master's degree with honors or higher.

– Have scientific research articles published in world research journals.

– Proof of IELTS or TOEFL test for English-taught programs. Or completion of the German DSH or TestDaF test for traditional programs.

Degree transfer Have a university or college degree in Vietnam and a profession that is transferable in Germany.

– Obtain a German certificate from A2 to B2 depending on the profession or an English certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS.

– Submit copies of degrees, transcripts, letters of recommendation and documents related to education and work experience.

– Take additional courses or exams to complete the degree transfer process.

– Pay the assessment fee, the fee may vary depending on the field of study and the center that recognizes foreign degrees.

  • ID card/CCCD card (notarized photo).
  • Copy of birth certificate.
  • Resume (clearly stating your education and work history).
